Independence Day Celebration
The celebration of the 73rd Independence Day began with the hoisting of the tricolour in the fore ground by the Honourable Director of the school Ms Anita Wadhwani and the Principal Dr Rajeshwari Sawant.
Patriotic feelings emanated from the speech of the Head Girl echoed in the campus. This was followed by a musical rendition of patriotic song by the school choir. In a wonderful speech presented by a student of class XI Glorians were reminded of the valour and sacrifices made by the torchbearers of the freedom struggle. At the same time moments of pride were recollected as the Glorian spoke about our country reaching the pinnacle of innovation, science and technology with the Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan projects.
It was followed by an address by the Principal, Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant who informed students and teachers about being mindful, practising heartfulness and leading a healthy lifestyle. That is when you can be happy as happiness comes from within. She informed the audience that one has to be consciously aware of the present and give our best.
The cultural program set the pitch as the audience witnessed a grandiose musical dance performance which paid tribute to the Indian Army and showcased events of URI Surgical strike.
Simultaneously the Glorians were sensitized regarding the Conservation of nature through a self composed musical performance to protect, conserve, and sustainably manage our natural resources.
The celebration was truly a memorable one.
