Session on Adolescence by Mission Kishore Uday
Adolescents are the future of this nation and paediatricians play an important responsibility of shaping their future, by providing them the right kind of health and behavioural guidance.
Glorians from classes VI to X attended an enlightening session. Mission Kishore Uday was organised by Gwalior Academy of Paediatrics (a branch of Indian Academy of Paediatrics) in CHRI auditorium.
The session was graced by Shri Vivek Shejwalkar in the capacity of Chief Guest along with Dr B R Shrivastava and Shri Navneet Bhasin (IPS )-SP of Gwalior district as Guest of Honour. Many other paediatricians, Dr J C Garg, Dr Suhas Dhonde, Dr CP Bansal, Dr Deepak Agrawal, Dr Sapra, Dr Mukul Tiwari also attended the event.
The program was devised to focus on the suicidal prevention amongst the adolescents.
Dr Dhonde provided facts and figures of suicide and also spoke about its reasons and ways to handle it. Dr. Mukul Tiwari addressed the students with the ways to cope with challenges of life. Dr. Rashmi Gupta spoke about peer education. The doctors told the students to be life savers and further added that healthy mind resides in a healthy body.
Following the session of guidance, a doubt clearing session was well directed by the team of paediatricians.
