" अन्नब्रह्मा रसोविष्णुः भोक्ता देवो महेश्वरः ।
इति संचिंत्ययो भुङ्ते दृष्टिदोषो न बाधते ॥ "
This Invocation before food means the creative energy in the food is Brahma. The nourishing energy in the body is Vishnu. The transformation of food into pure consciousness is Shiva. If you know this, then any impurities in the food you eat will never become part of you. Food is one of the most essential requirements for the sustenance of life. Humans would be able to survive without clothes and shelter, but they can't survive without food. Centuries ago, our ancient Rishi-Muni's understood the importance of food. So, they correlate food with GOD. World Food Day is an International day celebrated every year worldwide on October 16 to commemorate the date of the foundation of the United Nations Food And Agriculture (FAO).

International Plastic Bag Free Day is dedicated to heightening awareness about the very real and pressing issues brought about by this most popular of disposable carrying device : PLASTIC BAG.
Plastic pollution is a global catastrophe and sadly it is a man-made one. Did you know that approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used on a global scale?
Just think about how many of these bags will end up littered all over the planet. This is having an extremely detrimental effect on the environment, wildlife and indeed human health. Plastic bags may pass out of our thinking after 20 to 30 minutes of use but they do not pass out of our world. Plastic bags remain in the world from 100-500 years before finally decaying completely, and have a profound impact upon our environment as a result. If we can live without using plastic bags on this one date, then we can do it for the rest of the year, right?

Every year on Sawan Poornima in the Hindu calendar, World Sanskrit Day (also known as Sanskrit Diwas) is observed. Being the first spoken and oldest language, Sanskrit holds significance in the ancient history of India. It is also considered as the Dev Vani which translates to the ‘language of Gods.’ Despite all this, Sanskrit is not getting the recognition it deserves. As a result, World Sanskrit Day is celebrated all across the country in order to promote the resurgence and preservation of this language.
According to the Hindu calendar, on every Poornima of Shravana month, Sanskrit day is observed. The day also marks the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan. In 1969, With the intent of illuminating the next generation about the ancient Indian language, the Government of India decided to celebrate Sanskrit Diwas on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Sanskrit is believed to be an Indo-Aryan language, which is said to have originated around 3500 years ago.
The main goal of this day is to encourage its use outside traditional puja mandaps — in conversational discourse. It is also known as the “mother of all languages". Now, the US and other developed nations are also promoting it as a medium of future computer programming.
