Puneet Sagar Abhiyan - G20

Aimed to synergize efforts towards engaging youth for promoting cleaning of water bodies, the NCC launched Puneet Sagar Abhiyan on 1st December 2021. In this connection NCC Group Gwalior planned a Special Puneet Sagar Abhiyan on 09 Sep 2023 at MITS, Gwalior. Approximately, 400 NCC cadets of NCC Group Gwalior took part in various activities including cultural, debate and quiz competitions. Mr. Mahanaryaman Scindia was the Chief Guest, for the programme. The program was attended by 20 students from Gwalior Glory High School. The mentor teacher, who accompanied them, was Captain Narendra S. Kushwah.
Two students, Shyamli Sharma & Ojas Dubey participated in the programme and received the Master Cadet Prize. Ms. Shyamli Sharma also won the first prize in the Debate Competition. The Principal of Gwalior Glory High School, Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant, was invited as a guest in the event.

Celesta International 2023

Celesta International 2023, a grand cultural fest, was organised by City Montessori School, Aliganj branch, Lucknow. The main objective of the event was to highlight the contribution of culture in attaining sustainable development and to enhance the creative and innovative skills among the students.
A total of 41 teams, including local, national and international, got the chance to showcase their talent wherein GGHS team participated in all 6 categories - Choir, Instruments, Traditional Dance, Choreography, Art and Craft and Collage Making.

Reflections International 2023

"Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort."
Glorians Rea Saxena, Jasmine Ramnani, Yoshita Dawrani, Riddhima Garg ,Inaya Aggarwal, Anushka Gupta, Naman Jain and Nachiket Chaudhari enthusiastically participated in Reflections International, organized by City Montessori School, Lucknow. It was an international event, where 68 schools participated including 10 international teams from different countries. We are proud to announce that team Glory achieved II position in an event titled Endeavour.
In another event based on psychological case study named, 'Pain to Power' also, the school successfully secured II position. In Cultural event and Choreography (Astra grace) the school bagged Consolation Awards.
Congratulations to the Glorian team for their sincere and spectacular efforts that have added accolades to the glory of the school.

DAI-MIRAAZ - Inter School Documentary Film Making Competition

Gwalior Glory High School organised an Inter-school Documentary Film Making Competition, on 23rd August 2023, hosted by DAIMIRAAZ, Heritage Club of the school, on the theme SWADOTSAV- An experience to be savoured Eleven renowned schools from Gwalior region participated enthusiastically.
The event was judged by Sri Jitank Singh Gurjar, a renowned director, who established Filmkatha Studios, has been making Ad Films, Music Videos and Documentaries for the Ministry of Tourism and Corporate Companies. The other Judge was Sri Bankim Joardar- HOD, Food and Beverage Department , Institute of Hotel Management, Gwalior.

Swaराग 2023

Proud moment for Gwalior Glory High School. Glorian Somya Sharma of class 10 has been declared as the Winner of Swaराग 2023. It was a multi round singing contest organized by The 3 A. M. Club which works with the motto of #ARTIST_FIRST. The founder of the contest, Mr Amar Saxena and his team started Swaराग 2023 with the audition round from 9th April to 16th April '23. To conclude the event the Grand Finale was conducted at Hotel Shreemaa on 30th April, in which the top 20 participants showcased their singing talent.
Glorian Somya Sharma participated in this competition and won the contest. She was felicitated by the Chief Guest ASP Crime, Mr Rajesh Dandotiya along with the Judges Mr. Yogesh Jain, Mr. Mohit Khan and Mr Gaurav Shankhwar in the presence of the sponsors as well as the media partners. Entire Glorian Family congratulates Somya for her wonderful achievement and wishes her good luck for her future endeavours.

"Time to leave exam stress behind and be inspired to do your best." Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students who are preparing for CBSE, ICSE, and various state board exams, on 27th January 2023 in the 6th edition of PPC 2023. The event was conducted at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi.

Literature Festival - Katha aur Kathakar

Glorian Shuchi Laha published in 'Voices of the Vindhyas' - a 2 volume anthology of stories by SCHOLASTIC India .
Student of grade XI, Shuchi Laha got the opportunity to attend sessions conducted by seasoned writers and mentors in the 2 day Literature Festival - Katha aur Kathakar organized by Scholastic in collaboration with MP Tourism at Tarang Auditorium, Jabalpur. Session by Rohini Vij really gave an insight as to how stories can be made interactive across age groups, and that one can't really assign an age to stories. The budding writer got to know more about how families communicate and connect in a session conducted by Shals Mahajan, and it has been beautifully depicted with 'Reva and Prisha', a children's book which is coded to be queer affirmative. The author has written the story of twins so as to make it unique, and yet make it relatable for kids across, especially for the young queer ones.

National Children’s Science Congress

A proud moment for Gwalior Glory High School as our School project has been selected in the 30th National Children's Science Congress 2022-23, which was held at Shri Krishna University, Chhatarpur between 17th and 19th December 2022.
The project was led by the Glorians Shiv Sharma, with Anmol Agrawal as a group member. Out of the 235 projects submitted, the best 30 projects were selected for the National level which will be held at Ahmedabad from 27th January to 31st January 2023.
Kudos to both of them that their project has been selected for this prestigious event.

National Adolescent Summit 2022 organised by CBSE Delhi

National Adolescent Summit On Life Skills, Mental Health, Safety & Wellbeing 2022 organised by CBSE, Delhi in collaboration with Expressions India ( The National Life Skills & School Wellness Programme) went underway between 15 and17 December 2022 at the National Bal Bhavan Centre, New Delhi.
With the aim of building Life Skills and Wellbeing Ambassadors for the Nation, a 3 -day - Summit showcased a fantastic portfolio of events and competitions to a large community of youth and educationists. The Chief Guests for the inaugural ceremony was L. S. CHANGSAN, ADDITIONAL SECRETARY (Institutions) , Depts. Of SE & L, Ministry of Education. Other guests included Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Academics), CBSE, Padmashree Dr. Shovana Narayan (Kathak Dancer) . Students and teachers across the country participated in the Summit which provided them with an opportunity to interact with one another on an array of topics.

Inter School Science Model Making Competition

An Aid for Visually Impaired Glorians Won Model Making Competition Under the umbrella of Sahodaya Gwalior, ' Inter School Science Model Making Competition' was held where Gwalior Glory High School won the third prize among the nine schools participated in this competition.
In this competition three hours were given to assemble the science model . Our students representing the school , Bhavya Ahuja from 7B and Saharsh Srivastava from 7A under the guidance of mentor teacher Ms Vandana Mathur designed the model of Blind Life Savers.

"The superior man is modest in his speech but exceeds in his actions." Speech is the communication or expression of thoughts in the spoken words. It develops confidence, reduces stage fear and courage. Keeping this in mind members of Cultural and Literary Club of the school 'Life Rhythm' organized an Inter Section English speech competition for class VII on the theme " Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" undertaking the beauty of Nagaland , Manipur and Madhya Pradesh- the partner states under the EBSB Programme. Students performed really well. Their speeches were full of information.

Inter-house Science Model making Competition

An Inter-house Science Model making Competition was held for Grade V students on 28th of November, 2022. The students were excited and enjoyed this innovative and different methods of Model Making on the topic “Means Of Transport, ”where they arranged, collaborated and made everything on their own, with the assistance of their House teachers.
The event was engaging for the students as they had the platform to explore the topic and showcase their creativity at the same time. In addition to this the competition inspired the participants to collaborate with each other and demonstrate their artistic excellence. The participants were judged on the parameters of originality, creativity, explanation, utility and their response to the interrogative session, with the jury.

District Level Science Exhibition INSPIRE Award MANAK-2022

When learning is purposeful, creativity blossoms" To foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among students, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India had organised a District Level Science Exhibition at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Gwalior.Students from different schools participated and displayed about 108 Models, out of which, best 15 models were selected for the State Level Inspire Award Manak Exhibition.
GLORIAN SHAURYA BANSAL OF CLASS VII A, bagged a trophy and a certificate and got selected for the State Level Exhibition. He displayed his model based on Robotics, a *SMART WATCH* which can help the visually impaired people and can be modified into a WAIST BELT.

Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition

Amity University Gwalior in association with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has organized the " Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition ".
Students of grade 9 and 10 got the opportunity to pay a visit to Amity University on 23 and 24 November respectively, to witness this enlightening event. ISRO's exhibition van "Space on Wheels", showcased working models of satellites and rockets. A team of ISRO scientists also demonstrated a live Launch of a Water/Air Rocket, followed by an interactive session of the experts with the students. The visit proved to be highly informative for the Glorians in enhancing their knowledge about Space Research and Satellites.

CBSE Budding Authors Programme

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the NEP 2020, CBSE had announced the CBSE Budding Authors Programme in partnership with Central Square Foundation, Pratham Books' Story Weaver and National Book Trust. The programme was organised at GGHS which provided students, a platform to engage in reading different types of stories and learning to write effectively.
Six students were shortlisted in the First phase of the programme out of which following three students have qualified for Second phase of the CBSE Budding Authors Programme -

Concord Collective Youth Policy Dialogue 2022

Glorians enthusiastically participated in Concord Collective Youth Policy Dialogue 2022, organised by Indian Principals' Network, held at Delhi Public School, Rairu.
Around 300 delegates participated in the event. The Dialogue comprised of 4 forums, including City Press. Glorians participated in the conference in different forums as delegates, putting forth their opinions and views and providing solutions on national issues, and bagged the maximum number of awards.

MACFAIR INTERNATIONAL 2022 was held at World Unity Convention Centre (WUCC) from 5th to 8th Nov.2022 where 22 International schools, 30 schools from all over India and 21 schools from Lucknow itself participated in this Mega Macfair.
This competitive event challenged the intellect of the participants through problems in mathematics, computers and science through Debates, Quizzes, Science Model, Extempore, Science Fiction, Group Discussions, Science Drama, Jingle etc.
MACFAIR is an event where young minds not only interact at an international and national platform through rigorous debates, seminars, competitions, learn a lot in maths and computers but also the event promotes inter-cultural exchange, enhances skills and attitude needed for the 21st century.

Inter House Tourism Quiz

Every year, October 31st, is marked as National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in India to observe Sardar Vallabh Bhai's birth anniversary.
The Indian government declared Patel's birthday as National Unity Day in 2014 when the Ministry of Home Affairs published a statement saying that the occasion re-affirms the resilience and inherent strength of the country that can survive all kinds of threats to its unity, integrity, and security. Twenty speakers from ten renowned schools of the city participated in the competition. The "30th Gwalior Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts" held on 3rd September 2022 at Little Angel's High School.
The theme of the Convention was “INTEGRATED QUALITY CONCEPTS – THE GATEWAY TO GLOBAL LEADERSHIP"

Leadership is a skill that is honed at young age only. Glorians' participation in Amity University Model United Nations 5.0 2022 which was held on 4th and 5th of August at Amity University Gwalior shows their enthusiasm for being future leaders.
Around 350 delegates of schools and colleges like Delhi Public School of Bhopal and Delhi, Army Public School, Greenwood School, Greenfield School Delhi, South Asian College and Vyas University, Jodhpur participated in the event. Gwalior Glory High School takes pride in the achievements of its students.
Our alumna Stuti Ashok Gupta (batch 2011) has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia, runs Amrutam.co.in, a D2C Ayurvedic lifestyle brand and wellness community. Along with building a global online community through Amrutam, she is also a part-time mental health professional with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, practising independently. Stuti co-founded The Lost Tribe Hostels in 2016 and also published a book - Sublimation, A Collection of Poems in 2015. She recently finished the Goldman Sachs 10k women program by NSRCEL in IIM Bangalore. Stuti has made her alma mater proud by living up to the school's expectations. Glorians got the golden opportunity to be a part of 'H2Ooooh ! ', a unique program crafted for Indian schools to encourage youngsters from the age group of 6 to 14 years, to actively give their creative contribution to water issues:- its conservation, sustainable use, limited availability and safeguarding it.

STAR STEPS INDIA PRODIGEE *PARVI DHAULAKHANDI* WINS RUBURU MISS FACE OF BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL INDIA 2021. New Delhi, 18yrs, young PARVI DHAULAKHANDI gave a strong competition to 13 other contestants selected from all over the world and bagged the illustrious subtitle of Miss Talented STAR and an International title FACE OF BEAUTY INTERNATIONAL INDIA 2021 also. She will be representing India internationally soon.
A ravishing Glorian from Class XII, returning on 1st to her city from Delhi after competing the finale from the City Park Resort, Delhi. The 3 days long Pageant was judged on the finer personality traits like soft skills, general knowledge, philanthropic activities for underprivileged children, clean environment campaign, confidence, intelligence, interview, introduction, attitude & aptitude, team spirit, question & answer besides ramp walk & photoshoot. She gave a splendid performance in the Talent round where she performed stunning Kalbelia dance. Parvi has previously been the winner of Star Steps Teen Miss India.

Celebrating excellence in cinema, India’s most prestigious Annual 9th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival Award - 2019 recognized the enlightening, entertaining & progressive media work of the students of Gwalior Glory High School The excellent handholding support and mentoring by experienced faculty enabled the Glorians to bag the 'The Honorable Jury Mention Award' for their short film, "Junoon-Zid Se Jeet Tak".
This movie was screened under the School category and the entire team got felicitated in a grand event in New Delhi .It was surely a moment of pride and honour as this is the third Dada Saheb Phalke Award for the school.
The story revolves around a girl who with her willpower and determination succeeds in achieving her dreams.The girl's character in the movie was played by Ms. Priyanjali Kadam -a student of class XII and the movie was directed by the Media students of class XII- Ms. Melissa Rodrigues and Mst. Soumitra Walambe.




16th Gwalior District Karate Championship 2023

Karate Championship was organised by Gwalior District Karate Development Association on 10th & 11th September 2023 at Eklavya Khel. Many students of Gwalior Glory High School actively participated in the championship and won many medals :
• Tanushka Badlani, student of III F bronze medal in Kumite and Silver in Kata
• Himansh Keswani, student of IV I won two silver medals in below Brown Belt and above Brown Belt
• Veda Sharma, student of V D won two gold one in Kumite and one in Kata
• Sajal Singh Tomar, student of V G won two gold medal one in Kumite and one in Kata.

ITF Asian Junior Championships 2023

ITF Asian Junior Championships 2023 was held from 4th to 8th September 2023 at Morodok Techno National Stadium Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Our Glorian Champ of Class 9th Rudra Batham won the 8th position in the Championship!

Open Chess Tournament at City Level

Chess is not simply a game, it is a war. Each opponent tries to predict the other, set traps, and corner the king. Just as a battlefield never remains static, the board never stays the same. Opportunities arise at unexpected times, and opponents must decide how to use them to their advantage.
Open Chess Tournament at city level was held in one of the schools of Gwalior. More than 60 players from different schools participated in this tournament. The Gwalior Open Karate Championship took place at Manas Bhavan showcasing the remarkable talents of young martial artists. Among the notable achievements, Vijwal Malwalkar, a student of Gwalior Glory High school of class VIII has secured the bronze medal in the Kata category, demonstrating his skill and dedication.
Tanushka Badlani, of class III and Himansh Keshwani of class IV, showcased exceptional prowess by earning the silver medal in the Limited category. The event was a true testament to the participants' hard work, determination, and the spirit of competition in the world of karate.

All India Chess tournament was held at Mahaveer Complex in which ten schools from MP region participated. 37 Glorians participated in this tournament. GGHS bagged the Best School Trophy in the tournament.

2023 ITF World Junior Tennis Championship

Aspiring tennis star, Glorian Rudra Batham of class VIII, has been selected to represent India in the 2023 ITF World Junior Tennis Championship, Asia Oceania Final Qualifying event to be held in Kuching, Malaysia. The tournament has been scheduled to be played from 27th March to 2nd April 2023.
Rudra has remarkably managed to reach the top three in National Rankings with his incredible performance. This is the third time when Rudra will be representing India internationally.

"Music,they say, is a versatile language. A good melody is something that everyone enjoys.
JCI Gwalior organized a solo singing competition Junior voice of Gwalior on 14th September 2022 where Glorian Somya of class IX A won the Title of "JCI Voice of Gwalior".
Students showcased many melodious numbers from different genres. The participants were judged based on presentation, coordination with pitch, and coordination with rhythm. Almost 200 to 250 students participated and Somya won a Trophy, Certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 5000.

Once again history has been created by the GLORIAN , OJASV SINGH Class XII, having gripped on his position under Top 100 Junior Master-Champions of Chess in the world ranking with a score of 2450. 44th Chess Olympiad Torch Relay

"Move in silence only speaks when it's time to say check mate."
India’s first ever Torch Relay, in celebration of the 44th Chess Olympiad, made its way to Gwalior on Tuesday. Starting from the national capital, the historic Olympiad Torch Relay will travel to 75 cities across the country before reaching its destination--Mahabalipuram on July 27. It's a matter of great pride and honour for Gwalior and Gwalior Glory High School as Ojaswa Singh of Class XII E got the opportunity to receive the torch. This torch travelled from Delhi to other cities of India and reached LNIPE (Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education) in Gwalior. Honourable Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India was the chief guest, who was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of LNIPE, Dr. Vivek Pandey. The minister was also welcomed by the other officials Shri Paramjit Singh ( Instructor, MP State Hockey Academy, Gwalior), Mrs. Neha Jadaun (District Coordinator, Gwalior) and Dr. Yajuvendra Singh Rajput. The grade master who came with the torch was welcomed by the District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer. The honourable Shri Narendra Singh Tomar received the torch in Gwalior from KS Rathore (a former national chess player) and handed it over to International Chess Master Ojaswa Singh. Ojaswa took the torch forward to Gwalior fort.
The Chess Olympiad Torch will go to Delhi next.

Merely at the age of 16, Ojasva is going to participate in National Senior Chess Championship-2022.
He brought an honour for the city after securing place in MP Senior Chess Team. He set 4.5 marks in 6 rounds of MP Senior team held at Obedullaganj Bhopal (18th to 20th February). In coming days, he would represent MP in National Senior Chess Championship - 2022, at Kanpur (25th February to 3rd March 2022).

Gwalior Glory's Rudra Batham won bronze medal in Kazakhstan

Rudra Batham of Gwalior Glory has brought laurels to the school by winning a bronze medal representing the Indian team in the ITF Asian Junior Tennis 2021 held in Kazakhstan.
The third place match between India - Uzbekistan was played on Friday in the ongoing competition in the city of Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan. After the singles matches, both the teams were tied after winning one match each. In the crucial deciding doubles, the Indian pair of Rudra Batham and Ojas Mahlawat played a key role in clinching the bronze medal for India by defeating the Uzbekistan pair 6-1,6-4 in straight sets. The tournament was held from 22 to 26 November, in which the Indian team defeated Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Iran 3–0 in one-sided matches in league matches. Apart from Rudra, Ojas Mahlawat and Aarav Chawla were also players in the Indian team. Rudra has gained a lot of experience and inspiration by representing India in international matches first in Pakistan and now in Kazakhstan. Both these tours were very good for Rudra and during this he won all his matches. The school principal, management and school tennis coach wished him all the best for his bright future.



Junior Chess Tournament

The talented Glorian, Master Ojasva Singh participated in the Junior Chess Tournament held at Indore's IPS Academy from 24th to 26th December and grabbed 2nd place in the Championship.
He will be playing in the upcoming National Junior Chess Competition which will be held from 9th to 15th January 2022 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Stadium. The Management, the Principal and the school fraternity wishes him success for his future endeavours.



State Level Major Dhyanchand Award

Master Ojasva Singh, an enthusiastic chess player of Gwalior Glory High School, won the "*Pride of Madhya Pradesh"* award by the Gwalior sports society, Udaan on the occasion of the State level Major Dhyanchand Award ceremony on 28th August 21.
Unison World School, Dehradun hosted an online rapid chess tournament on the occasion of sports day. Around 190 students from all over the country participated in the tournament. Ojasva won and made his school and city proud. His endeavors have been appreciated by the Principal, Management and the entire Glorian family.

Skating competition for class Ill was held in the school premises . The students were selected after the trial round. Girls and boys competed for the final round, winners as follows-

Inter Section Sports Quiz Competition was enjoyed with full zeal by the Glorians of Class VI in which in total 8 teams took part in the preliminary round to test their quizzing skills. 6 teams qualified for the next level round out of which, 3 winning teams performed exceptionally well and achieved positions.

Glorians enthusiastically participated in AUMPMUN 2023, organised on 24th and 25th of August at Amity University, Gwalior. Around 700 delegates participated in the event. The conference comprised of 8 committees, including International Press. Quiz Based on Bainsali River


Gwalior Glory High School won the first position for maximum participation in the quiz based on Bainsali river. Yuvraj Gupta of class VIII G and Mannat Arora of class VII G bagged consolation prize along with a certificate and cash prize of Rs 500.

Aamarsh Mishra of Class VII F participated in Mega Memory Seminar conducted by Sir Jayasimha Memory Workshops where he was appreciated by the mentors for being the only participant to remember 30 words in a row and was able to speak all 30 words back and forth. 8th Madhav Memorial Inter School Debate Competition


A.M.I Shishu Mandir organized its 8th Madhav Memorial Inter School Debate competition on 15th July 2023. The competition witnessed the participation of around 12 Schools, namely SKV, Little Angel's, Woodstock, Amity International, Army Public School and so on.
With the briefing of the set of instructions, the competition started with the debate round where each school presented 2 participants, a proposition debater, who proposed the motion & argued in favor of the motion, and an opposition debater who opposed the motion and argued against the motion. Points presented were accepted by the spectators with cheers and claps. There was so much talent in the room.
The event was judged by Dr. Sangeeta Malhotra -Social Activist and Mr Manoj Dawrani- Director Career Launcher. Rea Saxena & Teesya Raut represented Gwalior Glory High School in the competition Rea Saxena spoke against the motion- ' Can Artificial Intelligence Replace Human Intelligence'? and bagged the Best Speaker trophy.
Whereas Teesya Raut presented her arguments in favour and received a certificate of Merit. The event concluded on a great note with amazing comments and reviews from all participants and their accompanying teachers.



The Blogathon 2.0


The Blogathon 2.0 : AI for Good challenge, which was based on blog writing, was recently held by the AISC - an AI student community, in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education and Intel. The primary focus of this challenge was to highlight the potential of AI for positive impacts. The event drew in talented students from all over the country, including Gwalior Glory High School.
Three students from the school emerged as winners of the challenge.
1. Ashutosh Parashar, (recently completed class 12),
2. Palak Bandhu from class 12
3. Inaya Aggrawal from class 10 .
The students were tasked with writing blogs centered around the theme of AI for good, where they had to illustrate ways in which AI can benefit society. The challenge was designed to encourage interdisciplinary thinking and innovative use of AI technologies for social causes. The participation of students from Gwalior Glory High School in the Blogathon 2.0 : AI for Good challenge is truly commendable.
Their exceptional performance in this challenge is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the quality of education imparted by the school. Overall, this challenge was a great opportunity for young minds to explore the possibilities of using Artificial Intelligence for the betterment of society.



CBSE-National Coding Challenge (NCC)


The National Coding Challenge 2023 was an opportunity for the studentsof class 6 to 8 to showcase their 21st Century Skills by solving real-life issues with technology. It was organized by the Juanatech (New Delhi, India), a coding student community in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) India and Microsoft, a platform for the students to learn about various real-life issues prevailing and use their coding skills to come up with innovative solutions to solve the problem related to the subject.
Glorians enthusiastically participated in three different teams - Crazy Glorians (Class 6th), Culture Yodhas( Class 7th), and Glorians A3D (Class 8th) under the mentorship of Ms Monika Ahuja and Ms Sandhya Panjwani.
Team Cultural Yodhas qualified the Round 1 and recorded among the Regional top 30 teams from Central India. The school Congratulates all the team members of Cultural Yodhas.

Pixel Perfect challenge based on Image Processing, was recently organized by the AISC Intel - an AI student community - in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education and Intel. The challenge aimed to modify image by applying various image processing techniques such as resizing, cropping, rotation, flipping, colour adjustment, filtering etc.
It was an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their image processing skills and create the perfect pixel masterpiece by applying image processing techniques on given tasks.

The Refactor Rumble, a python programming-based challenge, was recently organized by the AISC Intel - an AI student community - in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education and Intel. The challenge aimed to test and refine code to make it more efficient, readable, and maintainable. For students, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills and enhance their python programming abilities by refactoring ten exciting tasks. Glorians actively participated in the competition under the mentorship of Ms. Neha Sonone and Ms. Ritika Keswani.

An inter section competition- *Express Yourself* was conducted for class V students in which they prepared a 2 min speech demonstrating their strengths, hobbies, and expressing things they like about themselves. All the students performed well. They were judged on the basis of fluency, pronunciation, expressions and body language. All the students participated with great enthusiasm.
Overall, it was an Amazing time for Glorians.

Heritage Quiz 23-24


An Intersection Heritage Quiz was conducted for class VII students. Two students from each section participated in the preliminary round which was a written round consisting of MCQs. The six teams with top scores in preliminary round participated in the final round. The quiz focused on the heritage, personalities, culture, tradition, cuisine, tourist sports of Manipur and Nagaland and knowledge about 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' programme. All the students performed well. They participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
First position was bagged by Advita Singh Sengar and Kritika Agrawal of 7G and second position was bagged by Atharva Sharma and Vinayak Sharma of 7A.

Glorians Riddhima Garg of 8 G and Darshil Jain of 7 H participated in Wild Wisdom Quiz 2021, organized by Worldwide Fund for Nature at the State level. The objective of the quiz is to boost the understanding of flora and fauna globally and inculcate a feeling of pridefulness amongst students about India's rich natural heritage. 'Silhouettes- Stories Well Outlined', published by Scholastic India


Glorian Shuchi Laha, from class X-C, got her short story 'Dear Kai' published in the anthology 'Silhouettes- Stories Well Outlined', published by Scholastic India. This is the third anthology she has been featured in. The anthology was published by Quill Writer's Club, Scholastic, and she was mentored by experts at Quill. The training sessions went on for 10 days.
Shuchi says "I learnt how to streamline my ideas and thoughts into words, proper story structuring, and how to improve further based on the feedback from my peers."

State Level National Children's Science Congress


The students of Gwalior Glory High School have given a phenomenal performance in State Level National Children's Science Congress . Children’s Science Congress is a celebration of practical Science. It is an inclusive platform where young scientists use their scientific skills to address real problems. The children get wide ranging opportunities to showcase their creativity. The 29th National Children Science Congress State Level Competition was based on the theme – SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING.
Glorian, Shourya Bansal of class VI, participated in junior category under the guidance of Ms. Chitra Bhatnagar. The idea was based on the sub theme- Design, Development, Modelling and Planning of Sustainable Living. Our junior scientist has made a “Fuel Bin” for underdeveloped villages where LPG is not available. He received accolades from the judges for the same.
Glorians, Shivam Tibrewal and Rachit Agarwal of class IX also participated in the competition in the senior category, under the guidance of Ms. Vandana Sikarwar. The idea was based on the sub theme “Appropriate Technology for Sustainable Living”. Our senior scientists designed Aluminous steel selos for grain storage for Indian farmers. This idea can prove to be a boon for Indian farmers.The School Principal and the Management congratulate the students on their accomplishment and would like to convey the best wishes for entering into one of the most exciting and important fields that exists in the world today.



46th International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC - 2021)


Team Lakshyarth LQC of Gwalior Glory High School bagged Par Excellence Award at 46th International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC - 2021) for case study presentation on 'Impact of Online Learning on Mental and Physical Wellbeing of High School Students'. The case study, based on students from class IX done by team comprising of students from class X -Shuchi Laha, Gunnika Batra and Lavika Batra under the guidance of Ms. Sucheta Bose Laha and Ms. Prafull Nigam, gave an insight into the problem areas and challenges that the students face due to online mode of learning- in the emotional and social domains as well as the increasing problems related to physical unfitness among the learners.
The solution to the problems were brainstormed and implemented. Improvement in the physical and mental wellbeing was observed after the implementation of the solutions. The team had won Par Excellence Award in the National Convention prior to winning at the International Level. The School Principal and Management congratulated the team members on the Glorious Achievement conveying Best Wishes for future endeavours.

LA -POESIE -Write,Paint and Illustrate( Live) was one of the competitive events of ODYSSEY-2021 , organised by CMS ,Lucknow.
AMISHI OJHA-IX H - composed & and articulated the poem and VIJITA GABRA- X H illustrated it .The word(Theme) for LA- POESIE was "EMANCIPATION” which was provided on the spot.The participants were asked to compose 14-16 lines, keeping in mind the reflection of VICTORIAN ERA POETRY. They exhibited their talent confidently with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a great opportunity & learning experience to compose and illustrate the original piece of poetry within the stimulated time.






9th Odyssey International English Literary Olympiad


Creating Caricatures through painting is an illustrious form of art. In 9th Odyssey International English Literary Olympiad , Talent Artistique : Illustration Through Cartoons is one of the events in which Glorian Krish Shivhare of Class XI participated and gave a satirical presentation of the novel Frankenstein , written by Mary Shelley, giving a message that playing God is always destructive. Be creative but dont try to compare your creativity with the creation of god.





CMS KINO TEATRAS (Cinematics)


"*Sometimes a stationary frame is not enough to express a dynamic idea "*
Glorians Ansh Verma and Harshita Yadav of Class 12th put their creative vision into motion with CMS KINO TEATRAS (Cinematics) and learned various skills in editing, scripting, screenplay, direction, expression, camera angles, lighting, scene selection, dialogue and script. Students made a short film of 5 minutes about the different shades of the personality of a fictional private sleuth Sherlock Holmes created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It was exceedingly augmenting experience for the participants.

9th Odyssey International English Literary Olympiad


In 9th Odyssey International English Literary Olympiad, for the event- La Deliberation, Debate for seniors, meticulous performer Sakshi Agrawal from Class XII successfully secured 1st Consolation for the school. She first cracked the priliminary round where she presented her views in against of the topic i.e Creative Outburst found a better manifestation in the Victorian Era than the Elizabethan Era. The video which is shared here is for the same.
Then in final round which was a live online event the topic was - Modern Literature remarkably reverberates the Victorian Literature. Here she confidently put forth her deliberations and proved that she is a tough competetor.

In Styliste Modeliste-Character in the Costume which was another event in 9th Odyssey International English Literary Olympiad, CMS, wherein Our school bagged II Consolation Prize🏆
To explore the connection between the culture and society and to become aware of the social purpose and significance of the costume in the Victorian era, Glorian Vyakhya Agarwal participated in the 'Styliste Modeliste' and gave a spectacular performance as she presented a Dramatic Monolgue of the Victorian era, 'The Laboratory' by the famous English poet Robert Browning.
The imposing performance was well applauded by the panelists thereby grabbing a meritorious certificate.

In 9th Odyssey International English Literary Fest 2021 the school's drama team secured🏆 first position. Drama is the portrayal of a literary piece of work, called “play” on stage. A sequence of exciting events, culminates in a drama. Pride of Glory from class XI Bhoomi Nigam, Riya Verma, Deepanshi Gupta,Vanshika Pamnani, Krish Shivhare and Jalaj Sharma were the participants of CMS drama competition titled 'Exotica Recitazione (The Art of Dramaturgy)'. The play was an excerpt from 'The Importance of Being Ernest' by Oscar Wilde. The Glorians very effectively presented the humour in the scene through their dramatic excellence.

“The new generation is to be sensitised towards our rich cultural heritage”
In order to enable students to understand and appreciate the richness of our cultural heritage and diversity, INTACH India Heritage Quiz was conducted by INTACH at Gwalior Glory High School The event was witnessed by teams from 19 different schools. The esteemed guests of the programme were Dr. H.B. Maheshwari- INTACH MP State Convener, Dr. Kamakshi Maheshwari- Asst.Prof at IITTM Gwalior and Mr.Vikas Singh – Co Convener INTACH Gwalior Chapter.
The school management indeed appreciated the efforts of INTACH group for creating awareness and preserving our great heritage and culture through variety of activities being organised by them from time to time.
Army Public School emerged as the winner and qualified for the state round.





Competitions by Income Tax Department

To sensitise the people towards the importance of Income Tax, Gwalior Glory High School hosted various competitions organised by the Income Tax Department, Gwalior on 13th July 2019. The occasion was graced by the presence of Shri Vikram Pagaria -Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. Jury members for the Literary Competitions were- Shri Achal Pillai, Shri Mohsin Khan and Dr. Anuj Bansal.The Director and the Principal were also present to witness the event. Students from 9 prestigious schools of the city participated in the event. The competition witnessed young orators, writers and artists in the Elocution competition , Essay Writing Competition, Slogan Writing Competition and Jingle Competition both in English and Hindi. The topic of Elocution competition was 'Non Payment of Income Tax is a Social Evil ' , Essay writing topic was 'Contribution of Income Tax in Upliftment of the Poor ' and that of Slogan and Jingles Competition was 'Payment of Income Tax is our Duty'.

Glorians of class IX Anery Patidar & Riya Verma were acknowledged in Ravindra Bhawan Bhopal, for securing 1st and 2nd positions respectively in STATE LEVEL JINGLE COMPETITION on the topic " Payment of Income Tax is our Duty" , held on the occasion of celebration of 159th Income Tax Day (24th July 2019).
Students were felicitated by the Chief Guests Former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan and famous TV Artist Ms. Divyanka Tripathi in the presence of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax M.P & C.G. Mr. Arun Kumar Chauhan.




Inter House Speech Competition

Speech is power: Speech is to persuade , convert and compel. Speech competition was held at school where the participants delivered their thoughts and perceptions on the topics given. Their confidence while delivering the speech was worth watching. Each one gave a splendid performance. The Judges gave their valuable advice to the participants and congratulated them for their efforts.

Inter School ‘Debate Competition’

Glorian Akansha Diwedi of Class XI, bagged II position in Madhav Memorial Inter School ‘Debate Competition’ held on the topic ‘Nationalism is a Threat to Humanity’, organized by AMI Shishu Mandir . There were nine participating schools in the event. Pratha Gupta of class XI received participation certificate.




Inter Section News Presentation Competition

A good command on current affairs knowledge is one of the smartest moves of today's education system. Taking this into consideration, an Inter Section News Presentation Competition for class IX was conducted in our school in which all the sections of class IX participated. There were two members in each team and every team showed its creative ideas in making of news presentation ppt.
As audience, class IX students actually enjoyed the entire event where they directly participated in the contest of current affairs. They were asked to answer questions based on the presentations performed in front of them by the teams.
The winning team was led by Diza Singh & Harshpreet Kaur of IX F.
