Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.

Games and sports have become an integral element of present day education. They teach them the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership. They also enhance the physical and mental development of children.

Gwalior Glory High School organised, much awaited Sports Odyssey for the students of classes I to IV.

The event commenced with a melidious song presented by the Glorians, that filled the hearts of all athletes with strength and motivation. The Glorians, holding the prestigious torch, lit the lamp with the hope that the illustrious journey of GGHS continues to shine brighter.

The Sports programme began with the lighting of lamp which was followed by the Oath-taking ceremony.

The Principal- Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant addressed the students and inspired all the athletes with her words of encouragement.

These little shining stars tested their strength in various races such as Hungry Rabbit Race, Sheep and Wool, Relay Baton, 50m and 100m race, Big Fish race, Kho -Kho, Hurdle race, Tug of war. It was a wonderful display of coordination, stamina and strength of the students in various events.

In the end, the winners were awarded medals and certificates. Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant, in her address to the students, laid emphasis on the need to participate. She said that it is not important to win. It is participation that makes all the difference. She congratulated her team of teachers and Admin Staff for a successful conduction of the event.
