*SPIC MACAY’s Cinema Classics Screening at Gwalior Glory High School*

In celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 155th birth anniversary, GGHS hosted a special screening of *The Making of the Mahatma* directed by the legendary Shyam Benegal, under SPIC MACAY’s Cinema Classics series. With 650 students from classes VI – IX participating, the film vividly portrayed Gandhi’s transformative years in South Africa, where his ideals of non-violence and truth were born.

A highlight of the event was an insightful interaction with Rajit Kapur, who portrayed Mahatma Gandhi in the film. Osheen Sharma (XI) engaged with him in an online session, exploring the challenges and inspirations behind bringing Gandhiji’s iconic journey to life on screen.

The screening inspired our students to reflect on the timeless values of perseverance, empathy, and truth, emphasizing how cinema can powerfully convey history’s greatest lessons.
