Life Empowerment Awards for Schools organized by Expressions India in Delhi
The commendation for Life Empowerment Award for schools 2017 was organised in Delhi on 17th August, 2017 by Expressions India. The core objective behind these awards is to assess the level of overall development including attainment of curriculum parameters, so the schools can empower, support and streamline the co-scholastic and allied elements to effectively promote child and adolescent wellbeing in an inclusive environment. The school was represented by Ms. Kavita Upadhyay and Ms. Mamta Arora at Life Empowerment Awards for the School 2017. The programme was chaired by distinguished luminaries like, Editor in Chief, Indian T.V. – Mr. Rajat Sharma and Padmashree Ms. Shobhana Narayan. The categories that received the awards are Principal Leadership for Outstanding Endeavours :- – Leadership Excellence Award ( Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant ) The following parameters are included in these areas. :- – Leadership in Promoting Vision for School, Family and Community– Promoting Indian Art and Culture– Teacher Leadership for Value Education– Promoting Excellence in Counseling Service– Promoting Inclusive Education for Special Needs Children– Leadership in Promoting Health and Physical Wellbeing Education The school also bagged awards in the following categories. :- – Vision for School, Family and Community Partnership – Exemplary Achievement Award– Health and Physical Wellbeing Education – Special Jury Award– Excellence in Counseling Service – Meritorious Award (Ms. Sandhya Garg)– Inclusive Education for Special Needs Children – Special Jury Award

Best School Award to Gwalior Glory High School in Captain of Industry Program Gwalior Glory High School received the Best School Award in “CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY AWARD” by Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Shivraj Singh Chauhan on 20th November 2015 at Bhopal.

Paryavaran Mitra Puraskar under Best School and Best Student category bagged by GGHS To create awareness towards environment protection , many measures are being taken by the government. Education is a very significant medium to bring change. To recognize environment friendly initiatives by institutions and students , Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change under the aegis of Centre for Environment Education and ArcelorMittal invited entries for Paryavaran Mitra Puraskar. The event was conducted at Regional Institute of Education , Ajmer and stretched for 5 days.On the final day in ‘Prakriti Mela’ many competitions were organized. On the concluding day, Gwalior Glory was selected as Top 20 Best Schools amongst lakhs of entries and Glorian Muskan Agarwal was selected among 10 Best Students of the country for Paryavaran Mitra Student Puraskar – 2014. She also has to her credit the honor of being the only award winner from M.P. Among the other award winners in the Best Student category, 5 were from U.P, 2 from Gujarat and one student each from schools from Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Creative skills in Poster Making Competition bagged Ishika Ailani 3rd position in the event whereas Garima Sharma was presented with the certificate of participation. Ms. Jaya Sharma, the Eco Club Coordinator escorted the team to the event which is organized every year to bring forth unique projects and vision for saving the nature.
Best District Principal Award
Ms. Rajeshwari Sawant honored with Best District Principal Award Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is a Delhi based non profit educational foundation which works to promote the inquisitiveness of children towards Mathematics, Science , English and Computers. It conducts examinations at various levels of District to International rank. Thousands of students participate in this exam of high repute. This year too, students of Gwalior Glory High School participated in all the 4 exams and secured State Rank- 5th, 7th and 10th in Cyber Olympiad, the positions in the state bagged in Science Olympiad are – 11th and 22nd. Glorians stood 5th , 7th and 15th in International English Olympiad whereas in the list of rank holders in International Mathematics Olympiad students have emerged as the 8th and 22nd position holders. Evaluating the performance of 27,000 participants from 1350 cities from 16 countries, the Principals of participating schools have also been acknowledged. For her initiative in encouraging participation in Olympiads in children, the Principal of the school Ms. Rajeshwari Sawant has been honored with Best District Principal Award. Also, the teacher incharges of the various subjects have been recognized – Ms. Bindha Kaul for Science, Ms. Smriti Khare for English, Mr. K. K. Tyagi for Mathematics and Ms. Jayati Saxena for Computers.
