CBSE National Teacher’s Conference, Kala Sangam
The CBSE National Teacher’s Conference, Kala Sangam 2024, took place in Madurai with the theme “Learning through Art Integration.” Ms. Sucheta Bose Laha, the Co-Scholastic Coordinator, represented the school at this two-day event at Raja Muthaiah Mandram. Dignitaries from the Dept. of School Education, Govt. of India, and CBSE officials presided over the program.
The conference featured sessions and presentations on integrating art across disciplines like Languages, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Commerce, IT, and AI. Experts shared insights on topics such as art integration for children with special needs, art-based assessment, mental well-being, and innovative teaching approaches through arts, music, dance, and traditional games.
School leaders and educators nationwide discussed experiential learning’s paradigm shift and the associated challenges. Each day concluded with traditional performances by students, showcasing Madurai’s history, along with traditional food and warm hospitality. The event celebrated art as the essence of education, therapy, and understanding life.
