Suryanshu Walvekar
November 19, 2024 2024-11-19 4:51My name is Suryanshu Walvekar, I was a part of GGHS family from 2006 thru 2008 (class 8th to 10th).
I completed my Bachelors in Engineering from Indore (SVITS) and then moved to the US to pursue my Master’s Degree (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. I graduated in 2017, and moved to Boston in 2019. Since then, I have been working as a Mechanical Engineer in semi-conductor domain.
GGHS has played a pivotal role in shaping up the life that I am living today. When I look back at my journey, I feel blessed to have been a part of this school. I am grateful to my mentors and teachers, who worked really hard so that students could get the very best of education, which is an essential part of everyone’s life. I realize how much it is important to not just stick to books alone, but to experience education in a more holistic way as it should be. I am proud that my school made sure that students were doing equally good with developing hobbies, were physically fit and mentally sound.
Teachers and management’s attention to detail and commitment to serve in the best way achievable is beyond what I can describe. I recall how meditation was a part of curriculum, that helped children focus on right things. I feel how much important it is to learn Sanskrit, which was a part of our curriculum, that opened doors to unfathomable knowledge from our rich Indian heritage, which also finds application in modern day artificial intelligence and machine learning. I now know how much is it important to learn and keep on learning, which my school taught me.
I would love to contribute in any which could be helpful for my school. Maybe giving students an idea with their career choices.
A big shout out to my heroes: Rajeshwari Sawant mam, Smriti Khare mam, Renuka Agarwal mam, Shri Nigam mam, Ashutosh Sir, Preeti Taley mam just to name a few, and to everyone who I missed out to mention. Miss you all, will meet soon…..
