Glorian Manya Mehra (Class X) and Co-Scholastic Coordinator Ms. Sucheta Bose Laha attended a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Child Protection, Legal Literacy, and Psychological Well-being at the Science Centre, New Delhi. The event aimed to strengthen child safety, with exhibitions on the POCSO Act, child safety measures, and support services. A new POCSO training manual was launched, and participants engaged in role-play and case study discussions, gaining valuable insights into child protection initiatives.

CBSE National Teacher’s Conference, Kala Sangam

The CBSE National Teacher’s Conference, Kala Sangam 2024, took place in Madurai with the theme “Learning through Art Integration.” Ms. Sucheta Bose Laha, the Co-Scholastic Coordinator, represented the school at this two-day event at Raja Muthaiah Mandram. Dignitaries from the Dept. of School Education, Govt. of India, and CBSE officials presided over the program.   The conference featured sessions and presentations on integrating art across disciplines like Languages, Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Commerce, IT, and AI. Experts shared insights on topics such as art integration for children with special needs, art-based assessment, mental well-being, and innovative teaching approaches through arts, music, dance, and traditional games.   School leaders and educators nationwide discussed experiential learning’s paradigm shift and the associated challenges. Each day concluded with traditional performances by students, showcasing Madurai’s history, along with traditional food and warm hospitality. The event celebrated art as the essence of education, therapy, and understanding life.

AD MAD SHOW

AD MAD SHOW An Inter Class Ad Mad Show Competition was organised for the students of classes 11 & 12 on 5th November. A total of 5 teams participated in the event. Students had creatively manifested their ideas into the advertisements designed by them. The show kept the entire audience intrigued. As part of the Let’s Connect with Teens initiative, Gwalior Glory High School held an Adolescent Counseling Session on 6th November 2024 for Class X students, focusing on Goal Setting. Esteemed guests Dr. Smita Pipariya, Pediatrician, and Dr. Karunesh Jolly Pipariya, Consultant and Director at Shatayu Hospital, were warmly welcomed by the Principal. The session introduced students to the SMART Goal Framework, emphasizing self-motivation, discipline, and the importance of setting short- and long-term goals. A guided meditation concluded the session, offering students tools and insights to help them achieve their goals.

Talk on Myopia

Myopia Free MP Initiative: A Step Towards Better Vision for All Gwalior Glory High School recently hosted an impactful session on the “Myopia Free MP” initiative, in collaboration with RJN Apollo, aimed at raising awareness about eye health and Myopia prevention. The event began with a warm welcome from the principal, who emphasized the importance of eye health in the community. Myopia, or near sightedness, is a refractive error that makes distant objects appear blurry while close objects can be seen clearly. Shri Nalin Baghel, a senior optometrist, along with his dedicated team from RJN Apollo, led the informative session. He highlighted the essential role of early intervention in children, stressing the significance of early detection and proactive practices, such as limiting screen time and ensuring regular eye check-ups. The school expressed its gratitude to the guests by presenting saplings and momentos, symbolizing growth and appreciation. The Vice Principal extended the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the guests for their valuable insights. The session concluded with a powerful takeaway: “Healthy Eyes, Healthy Future,” reminding everyone of the vital role of vision care in ensuring long-term wellness.

Gwalior Glory High School recently held an exciting inter-section drama competition for Class 5, where each section performed scenes from the Ramayana. Dressed in traditional costumes and using creative props, students brought the characters to life with enthusiasm.
