The 39th M.P. Young Scientist Congress
*“You don’t understand anything until you learn it more than one way.”* Glorians actively participated in *The 39th M.P. Young Scientist Congress* held between 21st February and 23rd February 2024 at MITS, Gwalior to motivate and encourage students and also to foster a spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing. The students participated in the *Tech Exhibition* on 22nd February where various models based on AI such as Finger Print based Bike lock, Defensive Radar System, Rotating Solar Panel, Smart Helmet etc were presented. They were also able to enhance their skills and were able to find solutions for the difficulties faced using AI. The event also included keynote speeches by renowned experts, who shared their experiences and insights with the young participants. They emphasized on the importance of research in various disciplines and encouraged the students to pursue scientific exploration. The event was successful as it inspired our young minds to pursue research careers and contribute to the scientific aptitude. More Images
CBSE National Guidance Festival and Skill Expo
Gwalior Glory High School is extremely delighted to announce that the school participated in the CBSE National Guidance Festival and Skill Expo in Jaipur (Regional event) at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan Vidyashram School. Total 48 teams from 22 schools participated in the event. Three teams from the school presented their projects under the following themes: Theme 1: Local to Global Topic: Farm to Fork Participants: Isha Mittal and Sagarika Goyal (VII F) Mentor Teacher: Ms. Vandana Mathur Theme 2: Sustainability and Environmental Conservation Topic: Eco Power ‘Generating electricity from non-biodegradable waste’ Participants: Atharv Pathak and Shivansh Khandelwal (VII H) Mentor Teacher: Ms. Jayati Mukherji Theme 3: AVGC (Animation, Visual effects, Gaming, Comic) Topic: Game on ‘The Unrevealed Hero: Battle against GH’ Participants: Vedansh Pathak and Yuvraj Gupta (VIII G) Mentor Teacher: Ms. Sandhya Panjwani All the three projects were appreciated by the judges, Dr. Sanyog Rawat (Prof of Electronics in Central University of Rajasthan) and Dr. Rajnish Dhiman (Prof of Dept of Physics, MNIT, Jaipur), CBSE delegates and the public. Project, Farm to Fork under the theme Local to Global secured 1st position (regional level) and also got selected for the national level at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The students Sagarika Goyal and Isha Mittal of Class- VII F presented their project, Farm to Fork , where it ranked among the top 8 teams . Additionally, they were invited to participate in Pariksha Pe Charcha in Delhi, where they had the privilege of meeting the Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi. Witnessing this enlightening session was indeed an amazing experience for the Glorians.
Glorian Shyamli Sharma at Republic Day Camp 2024
Shyamli Sharma of Class XII E, got the opportunity to be a part of the Republic Day Camp, held recently at DGNCC, Delhi Cantt from 28th Dec to 30th Jan 2024 . As for the selection process, she had to go through a rigorous competition that started from Inter- Battalion Competition, Inter-Group Competition, Pre-Rdc 2, Pre-Rdc 3 and then finally the RDC. She was an honoured participant in a cultural event where she played the sitar and then got selected for the PM rally in Delhi, as a contingent. She was nominated as stick orderly for the camp amongst all the camp participants of 17 directorate. She also got an opportunity to be with the front line officers of the camp. She met a lot of dignitaries as there were several visits – visit of the Vice President, Chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force , Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Secretary, Rajya Raksha Mantri, Raksha Mantri, CM Delhi and the Prime Minister. She was nominated for the Chief of Army Staff Home visit and also for the dinner with hon’ble Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh. At the RM dinner there were YEP cadets from 24 friendly countries. She was there for the main hall dinner and interacted with YEP cadets from UK, Bhutan, Fizi, Tajakishtan, Russia, Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. She also received the certificate from the Director General of NCC, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM. After RD camp she had a D-kitting camp in Bhopal, in which she visited the Governor’s house and CM’s house followed by the award ceremony, where she was felicitated with a medal from the Chief Minister and a certificate from the Governor. Late Smt. Shanti Devi Dhakre Memorial Inter School Tennis Championship-2024
Late Smt. Shanti Devi Dhakre Memorial Inter School Tennis Championship 2024, held in Gwalior from January 21 to 24 at Jiwaji Tennis Academy on New Collectorate Road, MPCT Campus. In the fiercely contested Individual categories, Rudra Batham from 9E clinched the Gold in U-19 Boys, showcasing exceptional skill. Jaydev Sharma from 11D secured both Gold in U-17 Boys and Silver in U-19 Boys, demonstrating his versatility on the court. Virat Singh Thakur from 6H and Saras Pandey from 5D added to the medal tally with their Silver and Gold in U-14 and U-12 Boys respectively. The young talents also shone brightly in the U-10 Boys category, where Darshil Singh from 4B and Karmanvir Singh from 3C seized Gold and Bronze respectively. In the U-14 Girls, Kashvi Singh Baghel from 8C bagged Silver, showcasing the prowess of the female players. The team events were equally thrilling, with notable performances by Gwalior Glory High School. Karmanvir Singh and Darshil Singh secured Gold in U-10 Boys, while Saras Pandey and Shivansh Pandey dominated in U-12 Boys. The U-17 and U-19 Boys teams, led by Jaydev Sharma and Rudra Batham respectively, claimed Gold, solidifying Gwalior Glory High School’s dominance. In U-14 Girls, Kashvi Singh Baghel and Amayra Rajawat secured Silver for their school. As the dust settled, Gwalior Glory High School emerged as the Overall Winner, showcasing not just individual brilliance but also exceptional teamwork.
District-level Table Tennis Inter-School Singles Competition
District-level Table Tennis Inter-School Singles Competition Gwalior Glory High School’s students demonstrated outstanding performance at the district-level table tennis inter-school singles competition hosted by Parvati Sports Academy in Gwalior. Under 14 boys category Romir Arora from class 7A clinched the gold Yagna Sanghi from class 8C secured the silver Aarav Jain from class 7A earned the bronze Under 14 girls category Lamya Sharma of class 7G claiming the gold medal The competition, held between January 27th and 28th, 2024, witnessed the participation of 80 players from various schools across the Gwalior district. GGHS family Congratulates all the participants on their remarkable performance and outstanding success.
Tourism Quiz-2024
The Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, organized a Tourism Quiz in observance of National Tourism Day on January 25, 2024. The event, hosted at Delhi Public World School, Gwalior, attracted participation from 14 schools, including the notable presence of Gwalior Glory High School. Commencing with a written round, GGHS team successfully advanced to the stage round, setting the stage for an intense competition. The subsequent three rounds, each presenting two questions, resulted in an intriguing tie between LAHS and Gwalior Glory High School. The exhilarating tie-breaking round concluded with Glorians claiming triumph, securing a victory that was truly earned. Atharva Singh Bhadauria of Class 8C and Yash Rav of Class 8H emerged as the victorious pair, securing the quiz victory. Their outstanding performance earned them recognition, as they were presented with a trophy, T-shirt, and cap by the Ministry of Tourism department. The collective effort of all participants was commendable and duly acknowledged, with each receiving well-deserved participating certificates, marking a successful and memorable event for our school.
National Convention on Quality Concepts – 2023
The Quality Circle Teams of Gwalior Glory High School showcased their prowess at the 37th National Convention on Quality Concepts – 2023 (NCQC – 2023) held at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur from January 4th to January 6th, 2024. In a demonstration of exceptional dedication and innovation, 6 teams participated in which 4 teams secured the prestigious Par Excellence Award, the highest category of recognition at the event and 2 teams have bagged the Excellent Award. Brain Crew – Par Excellence Adityas – Par Excellence Feisty Forwarders – Par Excellence Mind Benders – Par Excellence Abhyuthan- Excellent Aawrati- Excellent The competition, which spanned across 4 distinct categories- Poem, Poster, Cartoon and Slogan, the winners were- Best Cartoon- Ms. Taposhi Nath Best Poster- Ms. Swati Bhatnagar Best Slogan – Tanishi Tomar The teams of Gwalior Glory High School left everyone awe-struck as they presented their case studies so efficiently and effortlessly. The teams were acknowledged and highly appreciated by the esteemed panel of judges in the national convention.
Ramakrishna Mission Ashram inter-school competitions
Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Thatipur, hosted various inter-school competitions in celebration of the 162nd Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. On the first day, Glorians brought laurels to the school by winning many awards. Solo Bhajan competition – Somya Sharma (Class X-A) bagged first prize. Aman Sharma (Class IX-E) bagged second prize. Glorians also bagged ‘CHAL VEJANTI’ trophy in this competition. Hindi Speech competition – Siddhi Gutch (Class VII-E) and Manavi Yadav(Class VIII I), both bagged first prize together. English Speech competition – Vidushi Kaushal (Class VIII-B) bagged third prize. Path Avriti competition – Radhika Rawat (Class IV-A) bagged third prize. The management and the entire Glory family congratulate the winners and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
CBSE Adolescent Summit-23
CBSE Adolescent Summit on Life Skills, Mental Health, Safety and Well Being held at New Delhi. This is a unique collaboration of CBSE with Expressions India that provides flexible learning opportunities to the young learners to outshow their talents and parallely learn life skills from each other. Gwalior Glory High School zealously registered its participation in the summit and procured various accolades. Anushka Gupta (IX B) participated in, Pathshala Nukkad Ki, a team event where she collaborated through online meetings with seven other schools’ participants and secured Meritorious Team Award. Similarly, Yoshita Dawrani (XI C) collaborated with five other schools for Sur Sangam Classical Group Dance and her team won Special Jury Award. She has also secured Outstanding Award in Rhetorics Young Oratorship Championship. Likewise, VibhoreShrivastava (XI E) won Meritorious Award in Utopia Thematic Painting. Additionally, Harsh vardhan Singh (XI E) got selected in a special panel that interacted with TV tycoon Rajat Sharma and gained insight for facing real life challenges. upcoming tournaments!
